Packing And Still Packing!
This is the part that I dread, packing!!! It takes forever to get years of keeping things that you may need someday, to now sorting out what's really needed and what you have room for.

Time To Move On
Well its time to make the move that we have dreamed about for years. I have retired, the house is sold, waiting to sign papers to close on the 20th of April.
Once that has been done Suezie will be quitting her job and we take a huge step into retirement. We will also for a year or so be mostly homeless. Living in a small camper and a 3 room 400 sq foot apartment in our shop. Funny we are both excited and apprehensive about letting go of so many things that we now have. Stepping into a new life away from Salem Oregon, a city that has seen its better days if it has ever had any? We have both seen the entire Willamette Valley become a part of Southern California with its rude people and gimme attitude. So for us its time to move away from what seems to be a festering sore.
This blog will be a way for me to keep track of how our dream progresses, I know that my PERS retirement will only give us a meager income but after 30+ years with ODOT its time to try something different.
The plan is very simple really, move everything into our shop on our 10 acres then start to build a new home with most what we get out of the home that just sold. I know that its going to be harder than it looks, it always is.
But with moon rises like this its worth the effort!

Then there are sunsets like this:
Even a mid winter sky puts on a show with a sun dog:
